NSSGA Seeks Awards of Excellence Applicants

National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA) member companies can apply for Community Relations, Safety and Health and Environmental Excellence, from March 15 through May 17.

Save $100 by submitting applications before the April 15 early bird deadline.

NSSGA is committed to recognizing exceptional professionals, companies and quarries with the annual Awards of Excellence. This program acknowledges the commitment of member companies to safety, community involvement and environmental stewardship.

Member companies will have more time than ever before to complete their applications this year before the May 17 deadline. Presentation of the awards will take place at NSSGA’s Legislative & Policy Forum, Nov. 18-20, in Washington, D.C.

Members of Congress and regulators will be invited to take part in the presentation of the awards to outstanding operations. These awards can also be used to educate lawmakers and regulators on how aggregates operations support their communities, care for the environment and, above all else, are committed to safety.

Members can also nominate candidates for individual recognitions like the James M. Christie Safety & Health Professional of the Year Award or the Environmental Leadership Award through May 17 on the awards application site.

The Barry K. Wendt Memorial Commitment Award, sponsored by the M&S Division, will still be presented at the association’s Annual Convention, March 8-10 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The 2019 awards will be given based on work completed from January through December 2018. For information on all of NSSGA’s awards and rules, please visit the NSSGA Awards Webpage.
